Overview

The M/WBE and Subcontractor “Featured Dashboards” were created to promote equal opportunity and increase transparency in City contracting and spending.

Checkbook users can now use “dashboards” – or dedicated screen views – to see master agreements, contract modifications, payment amounts and more for M/WBE contractors across City agencies. These featured dashboards allow users to view M/WBE contract and spending information by vendor, agency, or for the city as a whole. M/WBE vendors can use this new function to view current agency contracts, identify prime vendors that contract with M/WBE subcontractors, and identify agencies that could potentially utilize services provided by M/WBE vendors.

Making the Grade

The M/WBE Featured Dashboard for Spending and Contracts displays all Agency payments to M/WBE prime certified vendors, with no payments excluded due to industry classification or contract dollar limits. However “Making the Grade”, Comptroller Stringer’s M/WBE letter grade report for City agencies, excludes M/WBE vendor payments that are not covered by Local Law 1 and assigns letter grades to City Agencies based on their spending with M/WBE vendors.
